Happy New Year Adam & the Ants fans! With two limited edition vinyl releases and twenty-seven dates knocked out by Adam in 2025, Antpeople can be forgiven for expecting a comparatively fallow year for Ant-related activities. But putting an ear to the ground, there’s already lots more on the horizon to keep us out of trouble in 2026…
Adam Ant is taking a well-earned break following a gruelling two years on the trot on tour. There’s no sign of personal appearances in the pipeline for 2026 at the time of writing, however we’ll see two vinyl reissues in January with Sony CMG’s half-cocked singles collection and Prince Charming gatefold doppelganger.
We’re going to assume there will be a live date or three announced closer to Antmas, as per Adam Ant’s scheduling track record this past decade or so. Be assured any sniff of Adam Ant news will be announced here as well as our usual social channels (depending on which ones are still available in the UK by then…LOL) as it reaches us.
Notable Ant-iversaries in 2026
1976: Beat a Bass w/ the B-Sides ad
1981: Year of the Ant
1986: CBS’s Hits LP & ‘Out of Bounds’
1991: ‘Persuasion’ recorded
1996: ‘Funeral Games’ at Drill Hall
2001: Adam Ant presents ‘I Love 1981’
2006: Adam Ant memoir published
2011: First UK tour in 16 years

So, with Adam safely warm and snuggly at home for the time being, we turn to some old Ants chums and current band members for a preview of what’s to come…
Biggest release of the year is set to be Marco‘s long-awaited memoir covering the Big Man’s formative years: ‘Your Money or Your Life’ – currently pencilled-in for publication May 2026. Written with Britpop bigwig Jane Savidge and handled by the literary knobs behind Tim Burgess and Kevin Rowland, expect a number of personal appearances for Mr Pirroni starting with the British Library in February (rescheduled from last October), which will be streamed online on 5 February 2026.

Will Crewdson – the hardest working guitarist in Antland – is currently finalising new material for his ninth (count ’em!) solo Scant Regard studio LP ‘Express Purpose’ (out 30/1/2026) while on post Antmusic tour shore leave. You can catch him in the flesh with an array of acts including She Made Me Do It and Gaye Bykers on Acid (both featuring ex-Antband bassist Joe Holweger) plus of course the glamtastic Rachel Stamp with David Ryder-Prangley. Mr Crewdson will also be touring the UK as Scant Regard with Dave Formula (Magazine) throughout the UK this year, plus there’s another ‘unbelievable’ plum support announcement to go public imminently, phew!
Coming up the rear is drummer Jola – voted your favourite current Antband member in our 2024 Ant Lib Survey. Jola’s recently revealed a new collab (deets forthcoming) with Generation X/X Generation X‘s drummer Mark Laff. A new ellpee with The Priscillas is ready and awaiting a label to snap it up, according to lead singer Jenny Drag who is herself currently collaborating with Boz Boorer. Jola and Jen will continue to tour this year with ex-Banshee John McKay‘s Reactor who headline this year’s Deadinburgh Festival in July.
Happy New Year! We hope you have a peaceful and healthy 2026.
There should be some new releases this year. There’s a few exciting things in the pipeline and I’ll be in touch soon – end of March – with more details.

Basking in the afterglow of the publication of his second novel ‘Mute’, Dave Barbe/Barbarossa‘s already notched up his first gig of 2026. A literary guest last year, he returns to Rebellion Festival in Blackpool with his latest ongoing music project Third House. Whether he’ll team up with Annabella’s Bow Wow Wow remains to be seen but look out for fellow Wonderful ’95 tour drummer alumni David Ruffy’s Ruts DC if you’re planning a trip to the Winter Gardens this summer.
Turning to prolific Ants bassists, Andy Warren’s got a busy schedule already in the calendar with both Monochrome Set and Would-be-Goods live dates lined up. Look out for the latter’s new ellpee ‘Tears Before Bedtime’, released on 13 February 2026 and available on pre-order from Bandcamp.

Enfant terrible Kevin Mooney is back in the guise of mid-80s debauched peacock posers Wide Boy Awake, with the news of a long overdue retrospective ellpee that’s currently aiming for a Record Store Day release in April. Previously unheard/rare tracks are licensed especially for this compilation, plus there’s new interview and cover notes from author and journalist (and former Brigandage bassist) Richard Cabut who first interviewed Kevin, along with then wife Jordan, in 1984 for an article published in Zig Zag magazine. He resumed the conversation with Mr Mooney in Berlin recently and, amongst other things, Kevin talks about his punk rock roots, his association with the Ants, and his feelings about Adam now. Stay tuned for much more on this soon.
Solo Ant-era bassist Chris Constantinou made some decent tunage with RudeGRL in 2025 but this is already looking like an eventful year ahead for his One Thousand Motels project with The Damned’s Rat Scabies. They’ve just signed a new record deal for an album and singles release scheduled over the next twelve months. Based on previous output, this is one collaboration definitely to look out for in 2026.
Ant-Tribute round-up
Shock news from valley boys Ant-Trouble who’ve announced that 2026 will be their farewell year. Their ‘Final Frontier’ tour will conclude in London (TBC) in September.
Ant Flavour (pictured) – have two dates already lined up for 2026 and have recently signed to a couple of agents who are currently sourcing more gigs for the Doncaster contingency.
XXVBD/Bootleg Ants – Currently working on “Something exciting and unique” with “several other projects on the go at varying stages of (in)completeness.”

Other stuff: Danny Kleinman seems to be more into his cacti cultivation these days but we wait eagerly for Bond26 production announcements and whether he’ll return for the next James Bond title sequence. Although not joining TMS on their 2026 tour, Lester Square continues to play and release new solo material through Bandcamp, and he’s a special live guest at Helen McCookerybook’s January Spectacular at the Water Rats. Gary Tibbs is set to see an imminent ‘Recharged’ reissue of Code Blue‘s eponymous ellpee, plus the recent London Jordan Uncovered photography exhibition will be moving to Tokyo Japan on 14-23 February 2026 courtesy of More Tea Vicar.
