Spanks to everyone who took part in the April monthly member survey – responses were a little down on the previous month (perhaps DVDs aren’t to everyone’s taste!) on the topic of video content...
Unsurprisingly, YouTube is the most watched online platform for over half of respondents, followed by Instagram (26%) and Facebook (18%) with 1 in 5 fans watching Ant content daily. Live performances are the most watched Ant video content (90%), followed by interviews (79%) and Rare tracks/demos (68%).
When asked whether you prefer watching online over having physical (you’re so) media in your paws, the response was overwhelmingly in favour of owning stuff over streaming. Which is a bit awkward seeing as there hasn’t been a half decent Adam & the Ants DVD release for nearly 20 years (and still no blu-ray).
Regarding actual video content you prefer to stream, after Entertainment (which was a bit of a red herring really, as who wants to watch something that isn’t entertaining?!), Educational content was 2nd choice, followed by Inspirational. Only a few of us go for Satire it seems (grr!), so I’ll bear that in mind when we roll out more videos.
A wealth of suggestions for content came through via the survey – particularly around demand for early Antz, which is a bit of a challenge for obvious reasons but you never know what might show up!
