The Monochrome Set | Live in Swansea (For the First Time Ever)

We’re thrilled to welcome legendary post-punk pioneers The Monochrome Set to Swansea for their debut show at The Bunkhouse.

Formed in 1978, The Monochrome Set were key players in the post-punk movement, known for their sharp, witty lyricism and stylish, jangling guitar pop. Their early releases on Rough Trade and DinDisc (Virgin) helped shape the sound of the era, with further acclaimed work on Cherry Red, including their celebrated appearance on the iconic Pillows & Prayers compilation.

Fronted by original members Bid (guitar/vocals) and Andy Warren (bass), and now joined by Athen Ayren (keyboards) and Stephen Gilchrist (drums), the band continue to push forward, blending timeless songwriting with a live energy that has captivated audiences across the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA.

Now approaching their fifth decade together, The Monochrome Set return with a brand new album and a career-spanning live set.
