The band features original Monochrome Set members Bid (guitar/vocals) and Andy Warren (bass) with Athen Ayren on keyboards and Stephen Gilchrist on drums. \nThe Monochrome Set formed in 1978\, and were heavily influential in the post-punk scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. SUMMARY:John McKay's Reactor (ft Jola) + Miki Berenyi Trio - Hebden Bridge
DESCRIPTION:Many of the most influential guitarists of the past four decades credite John McKay as a major influence\, including Geordie from Killing Joke\, Jim Reid of The Jesus And Mary Chain\, U2’s The Edge\, Thurston Moore\, Johnny Marr\, and even the two guitarists who followed him into The Banshees – The Cure’s Robert Smith and Magazine’s John McGeoch. \nSixes And Sevens is a historic lost album bearing fair claim as the lost treasure of the post-punk era\, the album collects eleven compelling studio tracks. A prelude to the great surprise of John’s return to live performance\, with a fresh new band and a number of live shows in the offing. John McKay’s Reactor will feature the lad ‘imself on guitar\, Jen Brown (The Priscillas) on vocals\, Jola (Adam Ant\, The Priscillas) on drums\, and Billy King on bass. \nMiki Berenyi Trio are Miki Berenyi on vocals/guitar (Lush)\, Kevin ‘Moose’ McKillop on guitar (Moose) and Oliver Cherer (Gilroy Mere\, Aircooled). The three musicians first worked together during Piroshka‘s 2021 tour – Miki and Moose being founder members\, Ollie joining to play bass. \nApril 2025 sees the release of their album Tripla\, preceded by the tracks Vertigo\, 8th Deadly Sin\, Big I Am and Kinch\, all released via Bella Union.
